Starry Night Nails

Started with my base coat, then I covered all of my nails with my electric blue polish.  Once my nails were dry I took pieces of painters tape and use the corners to mask off the pyramid sections at the  bed of my nails.  Once the tape is secure is painted the tips with several coats of Revlon Radiant Glitter Polish.  After the ends had dried a bit I pulled off the tape carefully and then finished with my top coat.

Once I got a good look at my finished product I couldn’t help but think about the sky in Van Gogh’s Starry Night.  I love that painting so now I like them even more.

  1. I think these are my favorite, and I agree–they make me think of that painting. Van Gogh is my favorite painter ever. I have the next two days off, so I’m going to do something with my nails. If they look good enough, I will post a picture. You are really an inspiration with everything beauty. I really need a little of that because I tend to let those things go.

      • I wish I could take up painting again, too! I loved doing acrylics when I used to take art classes when I was younger. Now I don’t have the time at all 😦 My creative outlet is makeup haha – it’s art, but the canvas is just my face!

    • YAY! You are back! I missed your posts and comments! I hope the house is coming together for you. 😀 I will be moving soon too. We are moving from Portland to Nashville within the month. Not looking forward to packing everything up again.

      • Ugh, packing sucks for reals. I fortunately only live about 2 miles from where I’m moving, and I have no time limit, so I am blessed in that aspect. Still – I am ridiculously jealous you are moving to Nashville – that’s going to be so fun!!! It’s good to be back! Talk with ya soon!
